good to see you again!
much discussion now about the fallout that is coming due to impacts of the pandemic combined with the long-term downward spiral of jw.org.
i am active as a pimo and my wife is pimi....much of our personal conversation and conversation with others in jw land focuses on how things will play out for jw.org in the next 12-24 months.
Very interesting. However, I think they need to keep Assembly Halls at least. If the members never meet in person due to having no KH's then the youngsters will leave en masse.
Assemblies and/or conventions is the place to meet up with other young available and possibly future marriage mates.

the pandemic has made the situation worse for single young jw girls.. i'm hearing tons of sad stories of single jw girls who are going, or have gone into deep depression.
with many having thoughts of committing suicide and hoping for a better life in the new order.. the pandemic has made it almost impossible for young jw girls to find a suitable marriage mate.
especially since the single jw boys-men want young, gorgeous, thin, virgins, who look like models and summit to the headship arrangement.
Apparently there is a new article from the GB about the dangers of online/app dating.
This is in the July 2021 Study WT. You have to do your scouting on ZOOM and chat to potentials in the chat room afterwards. I suppose you could always have a word with the attendant to put you in the correct chat room...........
Pathetic!

anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.
if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.
there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?
I used to work with a black guy here in the UK. He drove a very flashy BMW, always well dressed, Ray-bans and all. He told me he had never been once pulled over by the police.
However, he previously used to work for Aeroflot as a flight engineer and if he was just walking through Moscow he would be pulled over almost at every corner by police, uniformed and plain clothed, demanding to see his papers. Unless he was in uniform, then they would salute him.
Sometimes depends on where you live.

whether they go back to door-to-door or not, what will be different?
do you think there will be a noticeable drop-off in attendance as we have read on here that many have left or faded?
will there be a mass selling of halls?
I don't expect a return to D2D ministry any time soon. I think the cart witnessing will return however, after all it's up to the public if they want to approach the witnesses, a safer situation than calling at people's doors.
Many witnesses I know are dreading having to go back to the KH. Not just the Covid problem but not fancying turning out on a cold wet night and then having all the problems of finding a parking space reasonably near to the KH.

i know there were prior kicking out of watchtower's bethelites by the higher ups under the guise of down sizing.
now with the covid-19 thing, are these guys going to be kicked to the curb again?.
for everyone who will fill me in, thank you in advance..
They must still be working in Germany. We have all our Study WT's up to the end of August, plus our workbooks and plenty of the new publication Lessons 1-3 ready for when preaching is up and running again.

i love r&b music, funk and soul, even some disco.
i’ve been listening to retro soul radio out of london lately and the music is without commercial interruptions 24 hours a day.
mostly 70s and 80s music.. i love everything from elvis presley to tom jones too.
i remember that jehovah's witnesses used to have a 2-hour, 2-part mid-week meeting which included a 1-hour "ministry school" followed by a 1-hour "service meeting".
please correct me if i am wrong in any respect but to the best of my memory the ministry school was composed of 4 parts, as follows:.
part 1: an "instruction talk".
Counsel is based on the booklet "Apply Yourself to Reading and Teaching". Take a look at that and you will see just how dumbed down the whole process is.
You will probably be more conversant with "Qualified to be Ministers" or "Theocratic Ministry School Guidebook". It's a whole new game now. Anyone with an an IQ in double digits will be bored rigid.

so are individual witnesses being told to prepare bread and have wine on hand for the zoom memorial?
are they saying it’s “vital” or is it just a “suggestion?” .
A letter was read last week at the midweek meeting that said there was no need to go to "extraordinary lengths" to obtain the emblems if there would be no partakers in the household.
The chairman then said that if anyone had problems they could contact their group overseer for assistance.
As has been said, it's not obligatory but you would be looked upon as very unspiritual if you didn't!

so yesterday while i was doing some work for a customer, i noticed the wt mags on the sofa.
and i asked the elderly man if he was a jehovah witness?.
he said that he and his wife and all his children were raised in the religion, but only he and his wife attend the meetings or zoom.
I understand this guy very well. I was a "born in" and realised about 14 years ago it is all a big con. However I just couldn't walk away and leave my wife and family. Too much to lose. I still have some brothers who work for me part time and it just isn't worth the hassle of leaving. I will probably die before my wife and I wouldn't want to leave her all alone. There is so little I could do that I cannot do now.
I just wish I was 18 again, knowing what I know now.........
